& cookies

Brain Bakery is a "good girl in the class" in terms of privacy. We just do as we should. Just as we want to be treated when it comes to privacy. We do collect personal data from you, but we make sure that it is protected from third parties. And if we contact you, you will always find an easy way to unsubscribe.

That's really all you really need to know. We shield your data. Never share it with third parties. And you can always unsubscribe, with every e-mail. That is the short and understandable version of this privacy statement.

Anyway, that's not legally enough. So below you'll find another expanded version of our privacy rules. We tried to make it as understandable as possible. If you have any questions about this, you can always email us at hello@brainbakery.com That's an 'info' address but there are just people behind it, hence that hello. 🙂

PERSONAL DATA AT REGISTRATION

When you register for one of our training courses, we ask you for your personal information. We do not need to know everything about you, but only what is strictly necessary to arrange your participation as well as possible. Below is an overview of the personal data we need and why:

- First and last name: So that we know the spot in the training is really for you and not for someone just banging on the door.

- Function: Put on your badge: you may not find your own function so interesting, but those of your fellow participants do.

- Email address: Not only do we send participant info there, but also treasure troves of additional material after the seminar, so you'll learn even more.

- Mailing address: Among other things, we use that for "physical bonus material": books, certificates, etc. But we use it very sporadically.

- Department and Company Name: So that we increase the chances of getting the goodies to the right place

- Mobile phone number: For emergencies only! In case of last minute changes. Or suppose: there is a big traffic jam, we will send you a text message.

- Participation History: How irritating would it be if we tipped you off about a training you've already been to? That's why we keep track of where you've been.

Furthermore, we mainly store billing information about you or your organization. Because sometimes there are PO numbers or other bureaucratic turns we have to take. And you don't want to have to explain that every time. So we record that neatly (but is about your organization and not about you as a person).

Furthermore, we use your data for the following:

- Customer Service: You can call, email, app and Facebook us. To make sure you don't have to tell your story twice, we make short notes about your question. And if a colleague happens to pick up the phone, they'll know immediately what your question was. That's handy for everyone.

- Newsletters: Oh no ... not a boring newsletter full of 'products'! Well, we at Brain Bakery really do things differently. We want to make our email updates called Brainsnacks so bold that you open them with a smile. So we produce videos, blog and vlog, collect the best tips and develop content. Sure: we link them to our programs. But they are content gems that are also useful if you don't attend a workshop.

We pride ourselves on the fact that our emails are opened and read tremendously well. But ... at some point, don't you want them anymore? Under ANY message you can unsubscribe with one click.

- Reviews: We use these in two ways: to help others and to help us:

You can help other people with your review. By sharing your experiences, you give others an even better picture of a program. For reviews, we always ask if we can publish them, and if you don't want us to, we will only use them internally.

With your review, you help us in our "slightly manic" drive to make ourselves even better. And if you give us a review we really want to know more about, we'll email or call you. Sometimes just to thank you. Or to really apply your tips.

Would you like to view your personal data? Change or delete your data from our system? No problem. Just let us know by mail or email: hello@brainbakery.nl. Sometimes we need to keep certain invoice data for the tax authorities, but we have an advanced system to anonymize data then. Taxman happy, you happy.

THIRTEEN

Your personal data is only shared with third parties in activities that are strictly necessary in the execution of our business activities. And if we have to do so at all (for example, to have certificates printed), all exchange is completely 'privacy-proof'. Both internally -between employees- and externally -with suppliers- agreements have been made that guarantee confidentiality.

RETENTION PERIOD

We follow a very clear rule in this regard: we do not keep your data longer than you consider desirable. The retention period depends on the purpose for which we obtained or collected the data and any legal obligations. After attending our seminars you will -if you wish- also receive tips on similar programs. But if you don't want that, just unsubscribe with one click and your data will be deleted. If you have any questions about this, please contact us at hello@brainbakery.nl.

CHOICES FOR PERSONAL DATA

We offer you the opportunity to review, change or delete any personal information you have provided to us. Please email us at hello@brainbakery.nl with a request to review, change, data transfer and delete your personal information.

If, in your opinion, we are not doing a good job, we hope you will let us know. If you still think we deserve a reprimand, you can lodge a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

As a participant in our programs and workshops, you are Brain Bakery's raison d'être. We do what we do for you. Therefore, we wouldn't be right with our brains if we didn't take your privacy super seriously.

To secure your personal data, we have taken the following measures:

- Servers and devices of our employees are equipped with up-to-date security software.

- We work only with reliable suppliers.

- We only send your data via secure Internet connections. You can tell this by the address bar 'https' and the padlock.

- All our people who have access to personal data are trained in the careful handling of your data.
